Inquiry about Eligibility for Rift Rewind Hackathon from Argentina
Dear Organizer,
I am writing to clarify a question regarding participant eligibility for the Rift Rewind Hackathon. I have reviewed the official rules and noticed that Argentina is listed among the excluded countries, under the clause that refers to legal restrictions.
My team and I have a very promising project idea that aligns perfectly with the hackathon's requirements, and we are very excited to participate. We believe our proposal could be a valuable and competitive contribution to the event.
We would like to know if this restriction is final for residents of Argentina and, if so, whether there is any possibility of a special waiver or a procedure to allow us to participate, given the quality of our proposal.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to your response.
Best regards.

Hi Cristian, thanks for your note. Unfortunately, it is final and we are unable to allow residents of Argentina to participate.

It's a shame they don't have a valid and fair reason. There's no legal basis for denying the prize in Argentina. This is just further proof that RIOt doesn't care about the LAS region. Can I have a team member from a region that is eligible to participate instead? Thank you.

They didn't tell me what the basis for their decision was. They also didn't answer my question about whether I can have team members who are located in regions that are of interest to Riot Games. Thank you.
